I was just wondering how much of an impact, using SSL will have on my download speeds.
Also - i might be being retarded here - but i can't see any SSL related options in Newsleecher - so i'm assuming i use the SSL port to connect - and that's it - no further config needed from the client side?

I've not tired newsgroups since moving onto 20Mb... i'm pretty sure i constantly maxed out my connection on 10Mb... so hopefully i'll be getting a constant 2.4(ish)MB/sec (not using SSL) ?
