Newsgroups Set Up
Without using Outlook Express, how can I use newsgroups?

I would like to use them to download and browse etc.

I have Virgin Media Broadband.

you need to use a 'client' application

I currently use Grabit but there are several others, e.g. XNews

The server address for VM newsgroups is news.virginmedia.com

the vm instructions are still saying news.cable.ntlworld.com however I always used news.ntlworld.com

in fact you can ping all 4 news.cable.ntlworld.com, news.virginmedia.com, news.blueyonder.com and news.ntlworld.com

I've only recently tried the news.virgimedia.com server, news.cable.ntlworld.com still works, but I've never tried news.ntlworld.com

I've been using news.cable.ntlworld.com and Grabit successfully for several years. Always 480-490KB/s download on my 4Mb connection too!
