Videos not working on WMP 11
I've just recently bought a new laptop and when i click a video when i'm surfing the web the sound works along with all those wavy effects but the picture doesn't work. Can anyone help?

This usually happens because the video is encoded in a way that WMP11 doesn't understand. Try and download the codecs as referred to in the first reply. That should allow WMP11 to understand the coding.

That codec pack should fix WMP 11 as Hitman says...

It may not have been faulty. Windows Media player uses little bits of software called "Codecs" to decode audio and video. It doesn't come with every codec available, but can usually download any codecs. However, it can only download codecs that Microsoft approve of. A lot of videos available on the Internet either use a codec called divx, or one called xvid. Neither of which is approved by Microsoft.
Codec Packs (like the aforementioned klite codec pack) contain all the most common ones in one easy to install package.
