Broadband survey request

Computer Shopper is running a massive broadband survey at realbroadbandspeed.co.uk and we were hoping for as much help as possible. If you've got time, can you fill out our five-minute survey from home and tell us about your experience with Virgin Media? You'll get to speed test your broadband connection and you'll automatically be entered into a draw to win a £600 Mesh laptop.

Thanks,
David Ludlow

Re: Broadband survey request

Uses speedtest.net which IMHO is not the most reliable of speedtests.

Since the onset of the 20meg upgrade up until the last few days my 20meg has been broken with full speed only available, occasionally, in the very early hours. In all this time (about 12 months?) speedtest.net and other similar sites have been all over the place with their reports.
For the last few days (touches wood) my 20meg appears to have been fixed and I seem to have full speed available most if not all of the day.
Interestingly I now find that speedtest.net gives an accurate report whenever I have used it.
Nothing conclusive about any of this of course but for me, at least, it raises the possibility that speedtest.net is accurate providing your connection is working properly.
