[MERGED] Digitalspy problems

Ever since I've been using AOL I have great difficulty in getting to Digital Spy. Sometimes (like right now) I can't even get on the site, other times the forum is inaccessable. Running a tracert gives loads of time outs on certain hops and pings never get through. Tried a release/renew and that did nothing.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Who do you think you are, Indian tech support??

I've tried stripping it all down (no firewall, no 'blockages') and I'm still not getting through.

Re: Digitalspy problems on AOL

It may or may not help you but, a friend of mine on AOL recently had problems accessing some sites. It turned out AOL changed parts of their network, The fix they quoted her was to change to a Max MTU of 1450

Re: Problems loading Digitalspy

i find digital spy one of the worst reliable sites on the web. you can be browsing it and it'll drop dead yet work fine from another comp. always did it to me at uni and does it for others not on VM.

loading fine here though

Re: Problems loading Digitalspy

No, everything's fine and dandy here on VM using OpenDNS

But dev is right, the DS servers are amongst the worst for reliability, or maybe they just employ YTS monkeys for server techs

I haven't been able to use it for two days now.

Doesn't work on any of my computers.

It does have glitches from time to time, but nothing this bad.

Where are you from? (original poster).

I'm in Bristol.

Re: [MERGED] Digitalspy problems

Its a DNS issue on (I think) DigitalSpy's side. As I know it is not specific to Virgin Media as it doesn't work on The Virgin Media, Sky or the works (NHS) connection via the normal url.

As you can access via : http://www.wap.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/index.php or http://www.digitalspy.org.uk/ on all of the connections (the ones I tried) see http://www.wap.digitalspy.co.uk/foru...php?p=21911520 for more details.
