Neither has Google Earth, nor the one used by Yahoo on my mobile phone.
Do you think it has anything to do with the bus-sized spy satellite crashing down to Earth next month?

Re: Aerial mapping
LOL Possibly - do they know were it's coming down yet? Or too early to work out the trajectory??
They only site I've found that has new-ish photos is this one...

Yeah but think of the close ups it'll get on the way down.

Re: Aerial mapping
I tend to find that either Google Maps, or Microsoft have the best aerial maps. Will find one has better than the other for different areas.
The maps at 192.com are years out of date, at least for where I live, still have grass on the front garden which has been gravel for at least 6 or 7 years.

Same for me. Well, the sky is clear at the moment - shall I stand out in my garden and wave?

How old is the satellite map data on Google Maps?
Google Maps uses the same satellite data as Google Earth. Google Earth acquires the best imagery available, most of which is approximately one to three years old....
We strive to update our data regularly. Unfortunately, we're not able to provide you with detailed information regarding when a specific area will be updated. Also, we do not offer high resolution data by order as this information will be added when it is available from our data providers.

Re: Aerial mapping
If you want up-to-date mapping it costs pleanty.
Nice thing with Google is that there are plenty of APIs around for adding maps to your site. I have a support site for Prostate Cancer. When site members complete their registration I run an API that gets their lat and long based on their address, town, postcode or zip. Members can then see where everyone lives which is very usefull when looking for local support.
