Good point, I do hope the sudden traffic increase doesn't bring the server down again

Agreed besides his mobile not Work in Germany or something?

I mean comon ok so you'd have to pay roaming charges but I think a few quid for a phone-call would be the least of your worries when you find the sever powering your hosting business is down...

No computer? Bah no cybercafes in Germany then... While I wouldn't want to login to anything sensitive from one I'd probably go as far and maybe firing off an emailt to the datacenter to find out Whats going on...

Re: I-websolutions

tbh, Those of you who support clients via re-selling should really look into a more professional and solid host. Buying a re-selling account of a company that does not host their own servers is a bad idea IMO. 1 & 1 or WebFusion would be good for this

Re: I-websolutions

I-web do actually host their own servers. Last I heard their rackspace was in a Maidenhead datacentre. The world of the internet isn't straighforward with a fair few suppliers all providing different components that add up to the total picture. Hence the company mentioned earlier that supplies i-web with their range of IPs, other companies that provide the server hardware and others the software with yet another the rackpace and physical web connections.

Still if I'm capable of keeping a server in operation 24/7 then those that are paid to do so should be capable. I'm just hacked off at the lack of communication. And now their support forums are down. I don't buy the story of taking them down to tidy them up as there was only 4-5 threads on there that could have been moved to the admin area leaving the support forum operational.

Re: I-websolutions

Backups done, support ticket raised to Cancel...
Thanks for the service over the years I-Web it has been good, but recently to many hicups for me. I do hope they do manage to return service to what we've known they can do. Hosting/Reseller etc. is a cut throat business and I believe Adam and the guys are doing the right thing I.e. Relocated their hardware back to UK but this last weekend is unforgiveable for me, others hopefully will recieve a month or two for free for the inconvience.

Best of luck to all those involved

Re: I-websolutions

How do you cancel a regular Linux Hosting payment via paypal. Logged into their site, but never used it and can't see where to do it.

Want to cancel all of it.

Re: I-websolutions

It will be setup as a subscription. Not that easy to find in the current paypal setup. Try looking for the history or details of recent payments.

Thanks for that info.

You should check with the site Team here prior to posting commercial links in which you have a financial interest though.
