Have we actually had it confirmed that he's sold it on?

Exactly. Why write refund cheques for a business you no longer own? Adam as a sole trader still owns iWeb.

Re: I-Web Solutions

I still doubt the "I-Web was sold" story.

And, even if it had been sold, & for some reason whoever spent money buying it didn't actually then pay any bills & didn't care about the existing customer base, what is the excuse for the lack of support pre-"sale"?

Re: I-Web Solutions

Hi folks,

Just to let you all know, I was on the verge of taking over i-websolutions.co.uk a few weeks ago, but thankfully I came across this thread and held back - so thank you everyone for being loud and clear about your experience with i-web as it has definitely saved me my hard earned £££s!

Although I'm very sorry to hear about the mess many of you have been left in.

Regards,
Suhail.

Re: I-Web Solutions

I was told by Adam that it had been sold to a web developer from Slough and that was all the information he was willing to share as he stated he had signed a NDA. Since this 'sale' never happened can you shed any light on what actually happened?

Guys simply googling suhailc gives a few likely candidates. Nothing to do with wed design in Slough.

Thanks for your email. If you were listed as the owner of this domain name (in the WHOIS record), then you'd be able to send in a fax request to prove that you are the owner so we would be authorized to update the admin email address for you.

In this case, however, the information in the WHOIS record is invalid. You can check this at http://www.misk.com/whois/ if you like. Since there is no valid information listed, we are unable to authorize a change or transfer unless we receive a request from the current admin email address on it, which is Mod edit (Gavin): Personal information removed. You may want to try and send another email to this address if you haven't already done so.

i aint blocked his old email address as its publickly available via a who is,. but he hasent responded to me via taht email.

Especially as with server space/data centre space being relatively cheap, the main asset of any web hosting company will be the customer base.

Note: I know that hosting servers in Data centres can be expensive, but if you are looking to host your own servers, it is still cheaper to do this by approaching the Data Centre owners directly, rather than buying a web host. Let me draw an analogy. If you wanted a load of office equipment, and maybe a building, would you buy both directly, or buy a company and close it?

Drive to this address. Knock on the door, ask for Adam and ask him to make the changes. About the only way of contacting him these days.
