Ebay transaction
Hi
I won an item on ebay for the starting price of .99p, bargain I thought as the item goes for between £35-£45 as a rule. Waited 14 days and the item never arrived so I contacted the seller who said he`d look in to it. Four days later and I`ve just received an email from Paypal informing me that the seller had refunded me in full, no contact from the seller saying what had happened to the item, lost in transit etc. The question is was the item ever sent or did he not send it because it went for so little ?
Checked on ebays help and it appears theres nothing I can do.
The seller I will add is a power seller with 100% record.

Re: Ebay transaction
Leave neutral feedback. Yeah, you're disappointed you haven't got the item, but you're not out of pocket as the seller refunded you
Edit: Why did you post this in VM General Discussion? :/

Re: Ebay transaction
Ask the seller what happened and see what reply you get. I rather suspect you'll see the item listed again at some point in time, maybe under a different seller.

Re: Ebay transaction
It's a contract of sale.
If you didn't report it as missing or not received to either ebay, paypal or the seller then contact ebay and tell them what has happened.
Hold him / her to it.

100% spot on. It's a contract of sale. If he's pulled it 'cos he didn't get enough for it, he shouldn't be so tight arsed, and next time start the bidding with a more realistic price.
I pulled some DVD's a long time ago 'cos I wasn't getting any bids, I got one bid and did some poking around. My error was that I never put the words DVD in the item description. The potential buyer left me negative feedback and called me a f...... thief and so on. Even though I had made a listing mistake and went through the proper procedure for pulling goods. If the person has a good 100% record, try to give them the benefit, but don't let crooks build up a nice big clean feedback.
