Re: need a lan driver please help

Hi

Is the network interface card separate, or integrated with the motherboard?

If separate, then the card should have come with a setup disk containing the drivers.

If built into the motherboard, then it may have been supplied with a disk saying 'chipset drivers', or similar, the lan drivers will be on this.

If the network card is built in to the motherboard, it may be disabled in the bios & it may be a case of just re-enabling it & letting the operating system load standard drivers, once the 'new hardware' is detected on bootup.

If none of these are available/possible, you will need to find out the make/model of the network card (if separate), or the motherboard version (if built in) & get the appropriate drivers off the internet.

What operating system is the computer using?
