Firefox Question

I am using firefox through a ntl/virgin proxy as my direct connection seems to load sites a lot slower, so this is the best way for me at the minute, only problem is that firefox is ignoring my hosts file which I assume is because of the proxy. Can I configure firefox to not ignore my hosts file when using a proxy?

Re: Firefox Question

pedantic's link is for IE, but you can do the same in Firefox.

In FF2 it's under the Advanced menu, Network tab, Settings button. There's a field 'No Proxy for:'. Make sure it's set to localhost, 127.0.0.1

Having said that, on my linux box that's the default entry in that field. I'm not using a proxy though...
