Re: how to make site searchable by google

yeah.... googles pretty clever like that, as long as the site is in google already, it will appear within a few weeks.

Re: how to make site searchable by google

you can submit sites to google, but there is little point in this, as any site which google ranks with any value will be linked from other sources anyway.

Try to get sites to link to you with links that are relevant to the content eg Cable News and if you want to appear higher on the search rankings try to get links from pages that have a higher PageRank than you.

Re: how to make site searchable by google

I find the google ranking system unfair and at times unreliable.

Examples are it keeping links to dead pages simply because they linked from major sites, I have seen these dead links alive for months and sometimes years.

Also linking to the same page multiple times in one search, it would be a lot less congested if it limited to one reply per domain or grouped all the replies to a domain together in a subsection.

During the first 3-9 months you will be only able to achieve limited ranking, google restrict new domains and then after a while it will become unrestricted.

Re: how to make site searchable by google

Google seems to pick up all of my new sites within days with little encouragement. So you spend ages trying to get a high ranking google listing then one of your consultants enters a blog and there it is listing 6 http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en...in+woking&meta=
