Hiya,

Does anyone know some good (preferably free) software to create a slideshow of photos that can be put to music and then put on a site You Tube ?

Hi, My son did exactly this for me and he used "Photoshop", it is not free but he says that it is good and I do not think that it is too expensive. He said that it was not too difficult....for him!

Photoshop is the industry standard photo editing and manipulation package but it doesn't come cheap at around £400.

Re: photo slideshow to music - to web

Although Photoshop let's you make a slide show of photos and makes an automatic website of your photos, it will not let you sync it to music.

As the others have said, MovieMaker bundled in Windows is probably your best bet.

Irfanview

http://www.irfanview.net/

can save slideshows with a background MP3 music track, as far as i know - never tried it ( well tried the slide show, that worked, just not tried it with background music) - note that a new version of Irfanview (4.0) was released 2 days ago & they advise updating your plugins to the new version, also, if you install it

Re: photo slideshow to music - to web

Hello, Many apologies for saying that my son used Photoshop for creating my YouTube slideshows, after speaking to him he has confirmed that as the previous "poster" suggested he used Photo story, it can be downloaded from here -
