streaming and downloading http links problem

when i try and watch a video on youtube, most of time it loads only around 60 percent of it, then freezes. i have to keep trying to refresh to get it to download fully...

and also when i try and download a http link, i constantly get "operation timed out" message or it just freezes half-way through...

i have internet explorer 7.... can anyone advise wot the problem may be and how i can fix it..

thanks

Re: steaming and downloading http links problem

Have you tried in a browser other than IE?
Have you tried re-setting your modem?
Do you have any firewall programs that could be interfering with the downloads?
Does normal browsing appear OK?

just a few questions to be getting on with!
