Hotmail and Outlook!
Ok so why has Microsoft decided to stop us using it's own software to access its own email service!? You now cannot use outlook or outlook express to check your hotmail account with out paying money to 'upgrade'! Now I'm no big fan of outlook for checking mail but I do use it to check for junk and stuff that makes it way to my hotmail account, it's quicker than via the website. Time to say bye to hotmail I suppose.

Tried Hotmail Popper, that's still working for me.

Re: Hotmail and Outlook!
Nope that going to, from their website:
Please Note: Microsoft has recently decided that only paying members will be able access Hotmail using outside services such as Hotmail Popper. Hotmail Popper will continue working with a "Hotmail Plus" (or equivalent MSN) account.

We've had this discussion last week...
I know, my rational conclusion is that as Hotmail Popper is a simulated browser session, the smtp part will not work but the pop3/http part will, and so they're playing it safe.
MrPostman, which works on the same principle, are making no such statements.
I actually use HP, and it's still working for me.

Re: Hotmail and Outlook!
That's funny,I still access my Hotmail account through both Outlook and Outlook Express, currently it's only new accounts that cannot access hotmail this way.
By the way

Re: Hotmail and Outlook!
With gmail now having pop and smtp access, i think that people will tend to use hotmail less now. Gmail is now a nice portable free email service.
