Best online shopping site for food..

Just wondering... hoping to improve my variety of food in diet without the hassle and pains with shopping.

Sainsbury's online was fairly good last time I used them, they only cocked up one item, and that was a different size bottle of Ketchup

I've tried Asda, Sainsburys and Tesco.

They seem to pretty much the same the same to me, a pain to use until you've loaded enough of your data onto them. So keeping old receipts is a must, as that enables what you've bought to be preloaded.

Asda seemed to be more likely to keep to their appointment timeslot. Which is good for me as they are my local supermarket.

That said, i don't order meat, milk, or fresh produce from a supermarket. I prefer to use local butchers and farm shops .

we use tesco very frequently here. tried asda and sainsburys as well, but have found tesco to be the best, the least substitutions etc.

have never had a wrong item either, but one time we got a box of matches that we shouldnt have had. wasn't charged for them though

Ummm convert part of your garden (assuming you have one) to an allotment and grow your own veggies.

Yumm....... fresh courgettes, marrows, beans, carrots, tatties, cauliflowers etc

I've used Sainsburys and Tescos, I think substitutions and service etc will depend on the local store that is providing the service for online delivery. Some stores will be good and the staff will try to get you what you want with as few changes as possible and then you will get the stores where they just try to complete the order with whatever THEY think is a good replacement.
Having said that I have found my local Tesco to be very bad for delivery time slots as they always seem to hit bad traffic or roadworks when they deliver to me and turn up late LOL

Whoever you use, always try & check through the shopping before the delivery driver leaves, in case they've sent incorrect items.

Definately, do not sign for receipt of goods before you have checked them as you have no way of proving you didn't receive them. If it annoys the driver then he can always help speed things up by unpacking it with you lol

What sort of ingredients? I'm sure we wouldn't mind looking for them if you wanted an idea of which ones can supply what you are looking for

brown pasta/rice (ive never seen these so im calling them rare).
quinoa (sp?)
pumpkin/sunflower seeds/almonds/nuts (non-salted, or processed).

You should be safe with most of those at Tescos and Sainsburys, the only question mark is the quinoa?? Never heard of it so don't know if they stock it.
The rice is stocked by Tescos since they have quite a few different types in store, the seeds and nuts they do (I am assured by their number one customer) but the quinoa is a strange one lol
