OnSpeed?
www.onspeed.com
I'm thinking of getting that, £2 a month or £25 for a whole year is a good price, better than paying £26 per month for 512K, might aswell get that to boost my internet connection.
If it doesn't work well, I can just get my money back by there 14-day satisfaction garentee

Re: OnSpeed?
I have heard about a company that were selling a simular service to this... They are currently being sued by gov. under trades descriptions.... !
If its to good to be true it most likely is - There is no way as far as I know to increase the bandwidth of a POTS telephone line.

Re: OnSpeed?
Well that re-view said it doesn't help much with streams of audio, and I'm ALWAYS listening to Digitally Imported.
I think my best bet is BUllDog AllTime-500, 512 down, 250k up, £20 a month. BT line is needed in the area with ADSL enabled which it is around my area, so I think this might be my best bet

for £2.00 a month I might try it .

Why not just upgrade to 750k from NTL?

Re: OnSpeed?
It's being advertised in today's Guardian (bottom of page 2). Of course it doesn't mention that there's no improvement with compressed files or that picture quality falls off markedly at higher speeds.
And as an amusing aside, whereas their web site boldly claims a x5 speed improvement, the Guardian advert only admits to a much more coy "up to 5 times", Ah, the power of the Advertising Standards Authority and the Press Complaints Commission.

Re: OnSpeed?
I guess if you're on dial up, go for it. But it sounds likes it pretty pointless for BB users.
If I was on dial up, I'd go for it.

They claim a x3 improvment for BB.

Re: OnSpeed?
Given that there is no modem compression on brodband (I could get a full 25k BYTES per second through a 56k modem, using only the built-in V42bis compression on easily compressible material), I'd expect an impressive speed up on broadband - on anything that didn't really need broadband anyway.
Plain text pages would load in the blink of an eye!

Re: OnSpeed?
what beats me if your on the £17.99 ntl bb why not just pay the extra few quid and jump on 750k £24,99 bb?
Or if your offline why not just pay out for bb and get a all in all suitable package.
Without the issue and worry "will it do this"
You get what you pay for online so I have found.

Re: OnSpeed?
Because I can't afford £25 a month. I'm staying on 300K any way.
