Net Nanny/Cyberpatrol and MSN

Can programs like net nanny or cyberpatrol be configured to keep a record of chat logs from MSN?

Re: Net Nanny/Cyberpatrol and MSN

You can configure MSN to save it's own chat logs.

Tools>Options>Messages>Automatically Keep a History of My Conversations.

HTH.

Not sure BUT If you were to use Yahoo Messenger there's an archive facility that you can turn on and keep archives for a period of time

Re: Net Nanny/Cyberpatrol and MSN

Yeah I know, but what if you had a sneeky teenager who'd set msn not to store chats?

I believe its from version 6 onward, if you want to download it you can remove "windows messenger" aka version 4.7 after it is installed by entering the following line in the run box.

"RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove"

*Remove the quote marks

HTH

Re: Net Nanny/Cyberpatrol and MSN

older versions of messenger can log all chats using messenger plus (www.msgplus.net).
