What I found really scary was that there was a box (from Amazon) at the bottom of the page that said: Hi followed by my real name  and requested me to go to the 'tip jar', if I liked the worst album covers page

It's something to do with the Amazon honour system, and you can switch off the name recognition in your Amazon profile. Apparently, the box is sent from the Amazon server, and not from the site you're reading (it's all explained under the 'how do you know my name' button, but maybe you didn't get that either. Still, it nearly gave me a heart attack since I wasn't expecting it...
