Thought Microsoft's fabled "Keyboard is not present; please press F1 to continue" was stupid, look at this beauty I got earlier:

"The program apt-get is not currently installed. You can install it by typing: sudo apt-get install apt"

Well, I laughed

Someone else has had the error (under the same circumstances) here.

Well what can I say.... looks like MS isn't alone in producing software that can make their coders look stupid lol

Just someone trying to be clever and trapping the normal command not found type error to make it "user friendly".

A simple "Command not found" would surfice. Program may not be in path or path is incorrect.

Not really a patch on the M$ error.

I remember my early unix days, can't remember the program, may even have been Pine, but it came up with something like:

Error 36
Bob, we really need to come up with a description for this error.

While installing a test version of Windows Live Messenger, I got a message saying that I was unable to uninstall Windows Live Messenger because Windows Live Messenger was installed.
