Police not ladder trained

Tonights Manchester Evening news had a story about an old historical chuch in Middleton being vandalised the damage was on the roof.

The police couldn't take pictures as it meant they had to climb a ladder 12 ft and they are not ladder trained the pictures was taken by the Evening news photographer he must have been ladder trained

Re: Police not ladder trained

This is yet another of those over zealous health and safety rules that mean common sense cannot be applied anymore. Apparently anything over 2.0m high these days needs special care. Maybe I ougth to complain to my bosses since I regularly go into loft spaces as a Surveyor, but don't have any special training

I've even been told by my local council, Surrey, when complainin of broken traffic lights that they can't send anyone as the red lights are too high up
