if your drunk......

a judge in pennsylvania has reached the decision of only charging one of three people with a drink driving offence, one was in a truck, the other two were on horseback and cannot be charged as a horse is not classed as a vehicle, much to the confusion of pennsylvanians there has been widespread outcry at the decision.

Quote:
"The high court is vulnerable to ridicule if a drunk on a horse is involved in a serious accident," wrote Eric Heyl in the Pittsburgh Tribune Review.

"At that point, some might even label these legal scholars lunatics."
a local judge joined in on the condemnation of this ruling in a rhyme:

Quote:
"'It's not vague,' I'll say until I'm hoarse,/ And whether a car, a truck or horse/ This law applies with equal force..."

Re: if your drunk......

I just can't understand some people.

How much damage can a drunk person do on a horse, that he couldn't do when he was sober? I'd thought a horse is just as likely to career out of control into a car wether the rider is sober or drunk.

But wouldn't the rider still need the same level of control as a driver of a car? To stop it straying out into the middle of road etc...

It may be alive, but it still needs to be told where to go, when to stop...
