Re: what are you watching right now
Bab 5 was another fave of mine too, loved the ideology of the Rangers. Shame the series lost its way when season 4 was gonna be the last season, so they had to make season 5 out of the scraps. The Telepath war was meant to be this big battle, rather than the small cult thing it ended up as.

Yes the Mini series and the Final battle were the best. Loved Jane Badler, remember 'The Highwayman' anyone?

Hope it don't got the way 'Earth Final Conflict' went when they bought in the Jerridians?
Good Idea badly executed.

There was a very human reason for that - at the time they were making it, no one in power would confirm season 5 so they had to wrap up the storyline for the end of season 4.

That also explains what happened to series 5, really was a bit of a kit bash series after that wasnt it.

Fraid I lost my books in one of my many moves
The books were the best way of continuing with the story, as the tv series didnt do it justice. But like you say they were had to find even then. Have you tried 2nd hand book shops, thats where I found a few>

Oh why's that? I thought it was not too bad, hard to follow up on the original tho. I think it was the mystery of what the cube is that made the first one so good, that and the excellent traps, like the cheese slicer
