John Peel's Record Collection

Music legend John Peel’s record collection, one of the most celebrated in the world, is being made into an interactive online museum for the public.

His family have given exclusive access to the collection which includes 25,000 LPs, 40,000 singles and many thousands of CDs.

I used to love listening to John Peel in my student days, i still have loads of C90s where I used to record every show, and keep the songs and sessions by artists I liked!

The website looks to be an amazing achievement.

The project to get the late John Peel’s historic music collection on the web has stalled through lack of funding.Even though the web design company behind it has continued working on a voluntary basis, the work has slowed to a crawl
