I had no quibble with my father's taste. Glen Miller,Bill Haley,The Goons,Tchaikovsky,Frankie Vaughan or Frank Sinatra didn't seem that bad to me. I also shared my grandfathers love of Opera and love to listen to it when I went to visit him..

Yes l did like Frank Sinatra especially when he was in the Rat Pack with Sammy and Dean.

Thats the thing though is that everybody has different tastes but l have to admit that some of today's chart music is sheer talentless dross.

The stuff my dad used to make us listen to in the car sounds even worse these days.
Stuff I used to hate but now rather like ... Just about anything by Kylie Minogue. Even the Stock, Aitken & Waterman stuff. In fact SAW generally has aged a lot better than I thought it would. Their sound pretty much defined the mid-late 80s and always brings back fond memories when it comes on the radio.
