Grange Hill repeats?

I can't be the only person affected, and as a result would imagine a few others have already found a solution. With no prior warning Grange Hill was dropped from BBC1 in its penultimate series, as a result once I discovered this by chance I did the usual thing and waited for the repeats the following year before the new series.

But coinciding with the removal from terrestrial TV after watching the first repeat the second wasn't on. I checked for a few days, and found an obscure announcement that due to unresolved issues around suicide the BBC had decided not to show the remainder of the series in case some viewers were upset. No, suicide is a fact of life (oxymoron?) and TV fans are only upset by missing their favourite programmes.

Anyway, back to the point, is there any obscure route, even paying for the boxed set as a last resort of tracking down a way of watching the series. Has anyone saved it just in case maybe? I missed a complete run of a Look and Read series by day or so once on CBBC after around a 40 year wait and by constant pestering around forums now have a lovely DVD which ended up at the star of the show as the BBC did not give the cast copies either and she hadn't seen it since then either. So there is always hope as long as there are video recorders.
