Hopefully it's content available for streaming is a lot better (and more up to date) than Lovefilm's. Lovefilm's selection is just rubbish.

Yes that's correct I now have the Netflix app on my Xbox.

An Android app is also available: https://market.android.com/details?i...GlhY2xpZW50Il0.
Ignore the "in the USA, Canada, and Latin America" bit as it let me install on my Xoom and my Nexus S.
I still haven't signed to the free trial yet so can't comment on usability.

HD Picture Quality via the PS3 seems quite good

Complicated? Name, email, password, credit/debit card...
It did the same to me with NatWest. I had an automated call this morning from the fraud centre and had to phone back and confirm I used my card for Netflix.

Yes. 1080p on the PS3, 720p on the 360 (the Netflix blog from the latest 360 app update in December says it's 720p, although some people claim it is now 1080p).
There's also 5.1 audio where available, and subs.

There seems to be quite a lot. It helps if you go to the website and set up your profile... genres, ratings, etc.

Re: Netflix has now launched in the UK and Ireland - [update]
I would assume so. We've already got Netflix on the PS3, Xbox 360, iOS etc. so it would make sense for the UK to get it on other devices which have it in the US.

Ah, I signed up with my Facebook details, as I didn't think there was any other way. So instead of asking for a password at sign up they send you an e-mail with a link to create one. This is after you've entered your credit card details of course
But didn't go looking for an email as I expect it to be part of the sign up process

I'm not totally sure, but I don't think you can view netflix via WMC (love to be told you can though).
I just use the netflix web site and view them full screen.
