This is way way to Sad ive been watching some of the stuff he co wrote again lately and i crack up laughing. Are you being served and Grace and Favour with "Mrs Slocomes Pussy",and Allo Allo.
The Guy was a Genius, they dont write shows like that now sad to say!

The thing is, this isn't even a cliché. It's so true. Same as (though hopefully not to detract from Croft's passing) Porridge/Open All hours, On The Buses, Steptoe And Son et al. Probably showing my age but who cares.
