I'm surprised no one has posted Wreck-It Ralph. It looks like it's going to be awesome!

I tend to take each new bond as a whole new character and have found DC to be rough around the edges with a newbies arrogant attitude which suits the reboot that they gave the series when he started, especially remembering that he only just gets his '00' status at the start of Casino Royal.

Next you guys will be comparing the 1967 Casino Royale with the 2006 version

TBH, Daniel Craig's Bond makes me think they just showed him a Jason Bourne movie and said "do that".

Taken as one item, the last two Bond films have been good, but not great. Casino Royale was far too long. So was Quantum of Solace, but it didn't suffer as badly.

They seem to be busy changing Bond into a generic Spy story. I don't think in the long run this will do the series any good. Bond has survived for 40 years and for 23 films where most generic spy stories have lasted for (at most) 2 or 3 films and maybe 6 years. Bond, logically, has something beyond what the generic spy stories has. They need to work out what that is, and take advantage.

It's worth noting that even the next Bourne film won't feature Jason Bourne.

I really enjoyed Casino Royale, although I wasn't impressed by Quantum of Solace.

New trailer for the Total Recall remake:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLAvdQF7Ypo

I still think that this will suck compared to the original, but at least it still has a hooker with three boobs in it.

Are you aware though that this isn't a remake per se,but rather a faithful adaptation of the Phil Dick story?
So this one will be very different and I think it looks excellent.

Saw The Amazing Spiderman in Imax and it was rather good. The story was ok,though it used a few ideas and themes from the Raimi versions.Garfield was great as Peter Parker and the 3D was excellent in the fight scenes, otherwise it was a bit flat at times... I'd recommend it.

Looking forward to seeing Dark knight Rises at the BFI Imax.

"Faithful adaptation" of the PKD story rather than just a remake of the Arnie film? Heh...

- It's ditched Mars (present in both the PKD story and the Arnie film).

- It's kept the name of the Arnie film, and not used the name of the PKD story.

- It's kept the main character's name as Quaid (Arnie film) rather than Quail (PKD story). His real name is Hauser, as in the Arnie film (and not the PKD story).

- It's kept Quaid's wife's name as Lori (as in the Arnie film), rather than Kirsten (PKD story), and it's kept her as an out & out villain.

- It's kept characters named Melina, Cohaagen, Harry, and Kuato... who were all in the Arnie film but not the PKD story. It's even got a three-breasted prostitute.

- The memory implantation process uses a "Rekall chair" that looks just like the one in the Arnie film, rather than having Quaid/Quail lying sedated on a bed.

- Quaid kills people, like in the Arnie film (although I doubt as many or as gruesomely!) and unlike in the PKD story.

From the trailers and other info available so far, it seems far more like a remake of the Arnie film (with the setting changed from Mars) than a "faithful adaptation" of the original short-story by PKD.

The original Total Recall versus PKD's story: http://thatwasnotinthebook.com/diff/...total-recall/1
