Rupert Murdoch's News Corp will open talks in the next few days to secure satellite broadcaster BSkyB, sparking a showdown with investors and potentially within the U.S. media conglomerate itself.
A year after the group first made its interest public, a protracted process of gaining regulatory approval is coming to an end, while BSkyB has gone from strength to strength as its programming proved appealing to stay-at-home consumers strapped for cash in the recession.

Well l have stated before that this deal should not be allowed as it will decrease competition and just make News Corp even more powerful then it already is even though it already owns 39%.

Yes l read the Guardian online everyday and l saw that piece and it is a bit ominous given Sky's appetite for devouring even more companies in their expansion but anyway thanks for the link.
