RIP : Professor Richard Holmes CBE
The acclaimed military historian, Professor Richard Holmes CBE, has died at the age of 65.
Known for sharing his knowledge of warfare on BBC documentaries, he also taught at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and Cranfield University.

Being a historian myself I am much saddened that this renowned historian has passed away with hardly a mention in the media. His knowledge of history was phenomenal and his programmes will still, hopefully, continue to be shown everywhere.
