Help Identifying this piece of music
The other half has been watching Supersize Vs Superskinny tonight and there's a piece of music that features a lot in the program.
I know its from a film and I'm sure its one that I really love but I'm struggling to find what its from or if it has even made it into my DVD collection as it could have been from a film I saw as a child.
Would anyone on here would like a bash?
http://www.channel4.com/programmes/s...ny/4od#3176459
Its at 20:14 into the main program.
Doesn't matter if you don't know the film but want to share the song title, that should be enough to help me find the film myself.
Thanks in advance all.

Re: Help Identifying this piece of music
I tried to "Shazam" it, but couldn't get a match, presumably because of the dialogue track

Re: Help Identifying this piece of music
It's probably some stock music from a vault of music people make for use in TV programs and commercials so may be hard to track down if that is the case.

Re: Help Identifying this piece of music
I did a quick google, and found a thread asking the same question on another forum. No-one could answer the question, but one person suggested sending an email to C4 to ask them.
Might be worth a punt...

Re: Help Identifying this piece of music
I Googled each of the 'Sound Men' in the credits on the off chance that they had worked on a movie in the past and maybe reused the same music. Didn't find anything interesting but maybe have a look yourself in case you recognise it from another show...

Re: Help Identifying this piece of music
it sounds kind of familiar, so maybe it's like muzak, i.e. xylophone arrangement of a contemporary song?

It sounds like it is. I heard a lot of this kind of music when I was doing a DVD for work. We needed some non offensive music that we could buy unlimited usage rights for fairly cheaply. Myself and a colleague spent hours going through 100s of tracks like that. We spent so long that I actually got to the point where I felt like if I heard one more "non offensive" (ie bland) song consisting entirely of "muzak", I was likely to kill someone.
I can't really be much more helpful than that as I found that after the 80th or so track, they started to sound the same.

It might be worth emailing the Duty officer at Channel 4. Can't find an email address, however there is an 0845 number and postal address at http://help.channel4.com/SRVS/CGI-BI...9},T=CONTACTUS
