Interesting I possibly would as long as the Films on offer are still current.
This could signal the end of the Cinema though

That's the whole point of it - they're talking about films being on VOD only 4 weeks after release.

not sure i'd pay that much but i can definitely see it being the next move in the movie industry .At the end of the day the way piracy has got a hold on the industry i don't see much choice but to make the new films available to all immediately in their own homes

Cinema is way over priced now, downloading films is easy, so there's a lot of people who won't spend a penny to watch the latest films, let alone paying £20. But if they lowered it to something like £3.50 to £5.00 then they would stand a better chance of getting something back from those people. Anything is better than nothing.
Personally, £20 - No chance.

Is that price per movie? If so, then no way, as it's far more expensive than the cinema (which is expensive enough as it is).

the way i read it was per movie per 2-3 days hire although why you want to hire it for 2-3 days beats me

So, they think the people who won't pay £10 to see a film in a cinema will pay £20 to see it at home?
Somehow I don't think so.

Given that this pilot is running in the USA, where cinema tickets would tend to be cheaper than in the UK, the price difference is likely to be somewhat larger ...

the only benefit I can see in this is there will be better copies of films on the newsgroups earlier. No more Cams TCs or TSs nice rips from tv instead
