Rumours about the next Superman movie.

With the next Superman movie due to be released near the end of next year, I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread about it.

So far, according to http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/movies/n...a-villain.html, we have:

The actor playing Superman/Clark Kent is Henry Cavill. This has actually been announced.

The rumours are that Alice Eve, Diane Kruger and Rosamund Pike are the top three contenders for the film's female lead, which was previously assumed to be Lois Lane, but is rumoured to be the supervillain, Ursa (which also means it is likely that General Zod will be a villain).

However, Diane Kruger has since denied this is the case.

Looks like it could be good.

I do hope so. The last one was a bit pants. Not enough action. Too much conflict. I actually like Brendan as Superman, thought he was good. I in some ways would of like to see Tom Welling in the movie, maybe.

Who's the director etc?

Also it is to be a total reboot of Superman.

After Snyder's last few films being really good I do have high hopes.

I think the guy they have picked for the part is spot on and he was actually attached to the role way back when McG was directing Superman returns but Singer replaced him with Brandon. so its clear that WB have wanted him for a while.

I am a huge Superman fan, even have the crest tattooed on my wrist! So I really hope this film is going to be amazing. Part of me hoped Tom Welling would have played him as he has done so well in Smallville, but at the same time he has played the part for 10 seasons now and he might not be what Snyder wants Clark to be.
