Rentaghost: The Movie
Apparently Warner Brothers have acquired the rights to bring Rentaghost to the big screen, and are looking at having Russell Brand play Mr Mumford (who runs the business).

From what I remember of the series, I would have thought Russell Brand would be a better Mr. Claypole (the court jester), but I think the kids will enjoy it.

I find it funny that 'some' people say he's not funny just because they don't like his personal life when clearly he's very funny most of the time, their just jealous that they're not getting 9 women a night, i think he will be very funny if he does star in this film and more the reason to see it

I just fail to see the joke here, he is just not funny fullstop, I have seen his act and I actually wonder what people are laughing at.
What you refer to as his personal life has no interest to me as I do not read the so called celebrity pap that is printed about so called stars.

or that he's just simply not funny. I've given him the benefit of the doubt a couple of times and tried watching his stand-up and just generally on TV, but he really just is not funny.
as for his personal life - i know he's married to Katy Perry, but that's it.
I don't see how one has any bearing on the other.

from other remakes i have seen it has been all dome and gloom
