Why do Tv channel logos have to be HUGH?

Just put on Disney XD and not only is hugh (2" x 4") but it is clearly visible.

Mainly so people can't record the films/programs, crop the picture size down and repost the films/programs on the internet

I hate DOGs. Totally unnecessary. They claim they are for channel identification, which is nonsense - I *know* which channel I am watching, I do not need some obtrusive logo cluttering up my screen.
