For those lucky enough to have the Sky HD channels they're showing the original movie on Sky Movies Sci Fi & Horror at the moment. You've missed most of tonight's screening but it's also on on Monday at 08:00 and 19:20 and next Friday at 14:10 and 19:20.

Am going to a 23 min preview tomorrow evening at the Glasgow IMAX :-)
Its the same idea as the world wide preview for Avatar they had last year.

This will be the movie of the year. The footage I saw tonight was utterly amazing.
There were 5 scenes from the first half of the movie. They were scenes, 20, 26, 32, 52, 56 if my memory serves me right. The world of Tron now looks so amazing but you can still tell where it is.
At the end there was a montage featuring daft punk and their music from the film as well as a clip montage from the rest of the movie.
I totally can't wait for the movie to be released now! Movie of the year. For sure.

I can highly recommend the Tron Betrayal ( Amazon link with CF referral) graphic novel. It bridges (pardon the pun) the gap between the two movies nicely.

Not that I'll be going on the first night - or, indeed, in the first week. I prefer to get the kids out of the way before I go to see a film...

I have the 2-disc version of the soundtrack ordered. It's a shame there's no music by Wendy Carlos in the new film though. Her music for the original film was great.

The official Premiere was on the 5th of December. 17th is the relelase date in the UK..
