Re: Eastenders

With my nan it was like this.

It was the 25th of Feb 1996, I was sitting in front of my PC with a mate playing Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom in my lunch time.

The phone ran it was one of her friends saying that she hadn't met up with them like she did, I brushed it of suggesting that something else had come up.

Later on my mum got a phone call at work saying that she could be seen lying on the floor, my mum and dad got there just as the police were about to kick the door in.

For the next five & a halh months she was unable to speak and only eat through a tube.

She suffered another significant stroke, and the Drs said that there was nothing they could do, the family took the decision with the Drs to remove the feeding tube.

My dad was with her with my mum two weeks later when, she said to my dad that she was frightened, then as my dad hugged her she died on the 25th August 1996, ten days after my mums 50th birthday.

To this day I still blame myself for not going over to her house, which was a 5 minute walk away. Even though everyboday said not too.

Re: Eastenders

You cant blame yourself Hom3r its highly likely that you getting there earlier wouldn't have changed the outcome as sad as it was.

Re: Eastenders

I agree with alferret, even if you got there as it happened it wouldn't have changed the outcome, I'm really sorry to hear what happened though.
