Re: Spooks: Code 9
But do we want the country run by shallow selfish people with no experience of the real world, or any knowledge of what is required to manage day to day with limited budgets?
Or there are the twentysomethings..........

Re: Spooks: Code 9
I just hope they won't keep coming up with depressing endings [like the end of season 6 of the main series], as real life's depressing enough.
If they start doing the "hey let's kill off/get rid of a main character that you've gotten used to seeing" crap that they kept doing in the main series that would really put me off it.

I agree. The amount of times Spooks did that was very stupid. I wouldn't say s6 ended that depressing, I think it would be more depressing if we found out if he did it or not. I just hope he didn't, because she is quite a good character, even though the way they've changed her whilst she's been there is terrible.
Back on the other point, there's only one character I can see them killing off. That is

Re: Spooks: Code 9
What a crock of turds. Very rarely do I lose patience with a TV show before the end of episode one, but I had had enough of this one after 15 minutes. We switched over and watched Britain from the Air instead. Much more entertaining, and I think I learned a thing or two as well.

If there is a series 7, I'd be surprised if it turns out he didn't do it.

Well, she's still alive, but they killed someone else off. On a different note, has she put on weight since her part in Dr Who?
I thought the new show was ok, not great, but ok. I was a bit disappointed having set my V+ to record it from BBC HD that they didn't bother to put it in 5.1. I don't have a HD TV, so the only reason I record stuff from BBC HD is if it's not on a normal BBC channel or because I know [or hope] it's going to have 5.1 sound.

Re: Spooks: Code 9
Unlike the BBC1 Spooks, this had no depth to the plot, if you could indeed call it a plot. The characters all seem too wooden, with the so called boss woman far too bitchy and aggressive to be believable. For something that had a lot of potential, its clear they spent too much money on having so many extras running amok, and not enough on the writers.

Re: Spooks: Code 9
I managed to watch about 10-15mins of it, then had to turn it off. None of the characters seemed believable, the story line poor, the acting was something you're more likely to see on a school stage/play. Typical BBC, get an idea, has potential and then ruin it - similar to what they did with Bonekickers.
I think the BBC need to keep making TV with HBO, at least when the two of them team up, they seem to get it right!
