Re: What are your best and worse TV ads?

I've been trying to find the ad for Werthers Originals, the one with the father and son in the car. The kid reminds me of a young Peter Kay.

Quote:
The pair are shown chatting while driving to a school sports day. The son, Tom, tells his dad about the gifts, including a laptop, iPod and an Xbox, his friend Jake has been given by his father.

Tom's dad says he looks forward to meeting Jake's father at the school sports day. However, it turns out Jake's dad will not be there because he is "more of a virtual dad".

Tom then teasingly says: "Not like you, can't get rid of you." The advert ends with them sharing the special moment with, of course, a Werther's Original.

Some of theIrn Bru adverts are superb.

TV ads but some of the Irn-Bru adverts that were a bit OTT are here:

Re: What are your best and worse TV ads?

Adverts really annoying me now:

The Budweiser adverts (the "ooh baby baby" ones) and the Toyota Auris ones, with that annoying "come with us/join with us... Ring Ring uh hah..." song.

Someone seems to have muffled Barry Scott, at last. The latest Cillit Bang adverts don't make the ears bleed quite so much.

Now they have been replaced by stupidly-dubbed ones. I preferred Barry Scott.

Re: What are your best and worse TV ads?

Advert for the new Channel 4 Stanley Kubrick season.

Easily one of the best adverts I have seen for a long time. Basically the advert is a recreation of the The Shining set, as seen from Kubrick's point-of-view.

The new Pot Noodle ad is so like the Not the Nine O'Clock News Barry Manilow spoof...

Latest nasty advert must be the weird animals in the Orangina ad.

Now, I've seen Holby City and it is nothing like that. Talk about false advertising.
