Well I've have heard that it going to end in the near future 
Proberly after they made 366 shows one episode a day for a year

I love the Simpsons too.
I dont know if a movie would work, it seems to be talked about now and again but never seems to materialise.
I like the short 20 minute episodes.

I have got board of the simpsons the last few new eps have started to turned into family guy with some of the random scenes/jokes.
I do love family guy though.
