Re: Doctor Who Season 4 (and xmas special)
Apparantly the Sontarans have been confirmed as returning in season 4, with Christopher Ryan playing their leader.
The Sense Sphere (home of the Sensorites) is rumoured to be appearing as well as Spartacus. RTD has suggested that the Ood and the Sensorites are related, so may well appear in the same episode.
David Tennant and Catherine Tate have recently returned from filming an episode in Italy - set in the last few days before the eruption of Vesuvius.

Still no sign of the Ice Warriors, who were origianlly rumoured to be in season 3.

Re: Doctor Who Season 4 (and xmas special)
I know its not really season 4 or the xmas special but the 5th Doctor is to return for Children in need this year
http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/news/...21/50016.shtml
Quote:
The Tenth Doctor meets the Fifth Doctor.
David Tennant's Tenth Doctor is set to meet Peter Davison's Fifth Doctor in a special scene commissioned for BBC One's Children in Need.
The scene, entitled Time Crash, was written by award winning Doctor Who writer Steven Moffat, and will transmit as part of the Children in Need fundraising evening on Friday 16 November 2007.
"It is an honour for me to be able to make the connection between the Fifth Doctor and the Tenth Doctor," noted Peter Davison. "However, now is not the time for sound-bites. I can feel the hand of history on my shoulder, even if I can't do the buttons up!"
Look out for more coverage on the site nearer the time - and don't forget to support Children In Need and donate on the night!

Re: Doctor Who Season 4 (and xmas special)
Hmm!I'm wondering how they can explain the obvious discrepancy in Peter Davidson's Dr Who's aging...

The same way they accounted for Pat Troughton looking 15 years older when he came back to do The Five Doctors, I imagine (i.e., they didn't)

Heh but Troughton was already well weathered when they cast him originally.Davidson was a very fresh faced Dr Who.

Re: Doctor Who Season 4 (and xmas special)
He was filming the hitchikers guide to the galaxy as the dish of the day when he found out he was to be the Doctor, they let him do the hitchikers as he wouldn't be recognisable
