Re: Doctor Who Season 4 (and xmas special)
Just a shame they killed off this character. I don't want to turn this in to a "lust over" thread, but she is rather sexy..

Sitcom star Geoffrey Palmer is reportedly the latest actor to have signed up for the Doctor Who Christmas Special, playing the captain of the Titanic.
Palmer is best known for roles in As Time Goes By and Butterflies.
Info from The Sun.

He's also rather well known for his role in The Rise and Fall of Reginald Perrin...

Thanks for the info but could you start linking to the original articles rather than just posting bits from the article

Kylie looks fantastic! although I don't think maids would have dressed like that on Titanic.

I see they're sticking with poses that hide the height difference then.

Re: Doctor Who Season 4 (and xmas special)
It's rumoured that Ben Kingsley is to play Davros in the new series.. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/cult/a70...k-creator.html

Re: Doctor Who Season 4 (and xmas special)
I can see how the reintroduction of Davros would be useful to the overall Dalek story at this point, seeing as there is apparently only one left in the entire universe, however in the classic series the Daleks really did suffer as a result of Davros being invented as a character. Pre-Davros, the Daleks were ruthless, scheming and intelligent. Post-Davros, they became brainless henchmen who rarely had any dialogue other than 'I obey!' and the ubiquitous 'Exterminate!'.
However RTD hasn't let me down so far, if he does go for it, then I trust him to do it properly.

Just as long as they don't go down the half human/half Dalek route again..

No chance, not if they're going for a big name like Kingsley. Actually, with his polished dome and convincing evil genius looks, I don't imagine they'll hide him behind too much makeup either.
In fact I'd go so far as to say they may be tempted to muck about with Davros' continuity rather a lot, for the sake of making him more versatile as well as making the most of the face of the actor playing him.
Assuming there's any truth in the story at all, of course. Let's not forget the source.

Re: Doctor Who Season 4 (and xmas special)
Davros returns fantastic.
And with Kingsley, I note that the new Dr Whoniverse must have some credibility. I read that Alan Dale (aka Jim Robinson from Neighbours) is to appear in Torchwood.
Several years ago that wouldn't have raised any eyebrows. But in recent years Alan dale has starred regularly in such USA hits as 24, Lost and Ugly Betty.
