Why wasn't it in HD, when that load of carp 'I'll do anything' was?

A combination of reasons. In the past it was simply the fact that they couldn't get access to enough computing power to render the special FX in HD quickly enough.
Now it seems to be a combination of Cost and time. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/cult/a92...ng-tardis.html

Well CT wasnt that bad actually. She could grow on me as an assistant, much like BP did as Rose.
Good ep I thought - I kept expecting the cute creatures to turn nasty.

I thought it was quite a weak episode to be honest.

I'm suprised this is still running, just trying to watch one episode and seeing how stupidly poor and stupid the acting was made me want to throw up, it reminded me of cheesy american comedies where everything has been simplified to the point that even a 5 year old redneck could understand it, really, there is alot better out there, so why watch this crap?

Although I hate Catherine Tate and find her totally annoying. I think they have made her character better than she was in the Christmas episode.
I thought some of the scenes were brill, for example the meeting of Donna and Doctor through the art of mime, that was sheer brilliance.
At the end of the day though Doctor who is kind of being made for the kids so can't be too grown up or serious. Thats what Torchwood was for

Dr Who is a kids show, is supposed to be family viewing where parents and kids can watch together.
Always makes me laugh when adults start moaning, the reason it is simpliflied for a 5 year old to understand, is because five year olds are supposed to understand it (maybe not all of it)
Enjoy it for what it is and get a life.

Re: Doctor Who Season 4 (and xmas special)
I have to agree with DarthYoda (and marginally Pierre ) on this one, I enjoyed the episode, maybe that makes me a kid? But I'd rather be a kid than a MoB

Excellent episode this week, one of the best I've seen in ages. Plus it was filmed almost entirely in and around Port Talbot

Re: Doctor Who Season 4 (and xmas special)
Considering this was wrote by the same woman who wrote Daleks in Manhatten, it was an amazing episode. I can't wait till next week. I wonder if we'll get an appearance from Rose or something that reminds us of her? Also, I wonder if Wilf is dead. They can't kill him off!

Re: Doctor Who Season 4 (and xmas special)
I loved this ep. Was great having the Sontarans and UNIT back. I thought the ep had a bit of a 3rd Doctor Pertwee feel about it.
They really threw in some great jokes and one liners.
