If they ever remade OHMSS, the Propellerheads version of the theme would be a fantastic choice!

I love Travis but i dont think they are suited to a Bond film

Re: The next bond theme
I've always thought female singers of the Bond theme should have a 'Bond girl' essence to them - and although I think AW is an amazing singer, she's as about as suited to that as I am to a Head and Shoulders advert.

I thought you would be better suited to a Wash N Go Ad...

Re: The next bond theme
That theme from "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", has it been used in any other Bond movies? I'm sure I've heard that in the background to a few action scenes in some of the older movies...

It's been used in a sort of 'homage' way in the incidental music in a newer Bond film, A View to a Kill...

First of you must me a singer, secondly NOT a junkie (I cannot say any other thing as this is a family forum, and i'll be banned, but you know what i'm thinking)
---------- Post added at 21:23 ---------- Previous post was at 21:22 ----------
The track shes working on might not be used, lets hope.

Re: Amy Winehouse working on a Bond Theme
What?
She is a good singer, her personal life is not relevant. She was not approached because she has a drug problem but because she has a strong voice that the producers obviously think we be good for the film.

Re: Amy Winehouse to do the next bond theme?
The bond film thing used to be a big thing. But think back to the last few films, which songs are memorable. None, yet they once created classic icons that alone could promote the film. Just remember Goldfinger, Live and Let Die, Diamonds are Forever.
Like it or not Amy Winehouse has created a phenomenon, and continues to fill column inches in the papers. It takes someone with a high public profile (good or bad) and a strong voice to create the tune that will get pumped out over the airwaves giving the film itself added hype and marketing.
Yes she may be a druggie on a path of self destruction. But then in some respects that in some respects reflects Bond who is far from a perfect character.

Re: Amy Winehouse to do the next bond theme?
Voted No. Don't really like her voice. the last few Bond themes have been weak. Goldeneye was the last one that was a typical Bond theme, if I remember right it was basically U2 wasn't it?
Dunno who could do the next one. Depeche Mode? Goldfrapp? Muse?

Re: Amy Winehouse to do the next bond theme?
Amy may not be of sound body and mind, but what a voice! Perfect for a bond theme. The other themes I like are - For Your Eyes Only - Live and Let Die and License to Kill.
