Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Due in May 2008, apparently.

I love the Indy Trilogy.
I do have doubts though whether they'd be able to make a new Indy movie as good as the originals.

Re: Indiana Jones 4
There are a lot of old film franchises being resurrected Superman, Rocky, Indy, and now Jurrasic Park.

I've heard it will be based on Excalibur, and somehow King Arthur will be brought to the modern-day.

I always thought the story said he was waiting in Avalon to return when the country needed him most

Re: Indiana Jones 4
I recently saw an interview with Spielberg (I think it was on the Culture Show) where he was discusing his films and plans for the future. One of the things he said was that in order for him to do Indiana 4 (and the reason he hasn't done one yet) it would have to be something truely special and spectacular as he didnt want to cheat/let down the fans. I think that when this film does finally come out it will be the best yet.

My thoughts exactly - he's in his sixties. Should be browsing home brochures, not staring in action movies.

64. Old enough for a bus pass over here
At least if he's on his way to a site and it's after 9.30am, he will get free fare on the buses and trains

I think Harrison Ford will actually be older in Indy 4 than Sean Connery was when he played Indy's Dad in The Last Crusdade, lol.

Re: Indiana Jones 4
Read a bit about this in Empire today.
Set in 1957, 19 years after Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade (which was released... 19 years ago).
The Nazis have been replaced by the Soviets, with Cate Blanchett playing a Russian agent.
Shia LaBeouf (Transformers) is in it, as Indy's side-kick. Some rumours suggest he is Indy's illegitimate son.
Karen Allen returns as Marion Ravenwood.
Jim Broadbent plays a Marcus Brody type-character, a friend & teaching colleague of Indy.
Ray Winstone plays an old friend, who is also a bit of a rival too.
They're apparently going for the same kind of tone as in Last Crusade, with more humour than Raiders & Temple of Doom.

Re: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Ace, this wil probably drag me to the cinema to see it. I just hope they can capture the magic of the originals. Sahara and National treasure came close.
