traffic truth sign

Ever hated those signs which just warn you of a delay about 1minute before you hit it, yet the ones miles back never told you.

They now run on Linux and make more sense.

Re: traffic truth sign

I was in traffic on the A14 a while back.

I'd not gotten above 5mph for about 45 minutes, the weather was horribly hot, and nobody was going anywhere fast.

All of a sudden the signs about the road changed to read:

A14 = pathetic. Look at the bloody junction with the M1 for starters, the TOTSOs at Huntingdon and Cambridge... lol so c*ap...

Why it was never built motorway, is beyond the realms of logic.

I was listening to a traffic report the other day & the A14 was at a standstill in about 3 different places.

only thing I can remember about the last time I drove down it was the number of Little Chefs & how the road seemed to be collapsing, with visible cracks appearing.

Re: traffic truth sign

I had to laugh once at traffic information on Rock fm 97.4 www.rockfm.co.uk

Traffic news is: normal jams everywhere, so listen to radio kick scream and hit the dashboard, as per normal roadworks where they do it during day instead of night. Also where you can gurantee you will be stuck behind a truck which is pumping diesel fumes into your car, and also that your air con will now pack in.

Re: traffic truth sign

The worst is when cars try to sneakily get passed you and steal your place. You were just about to get going, but have to wait for some fool to get his car into gear and by then someone else steals your place, and you are back in the traffic.

I'm a big fan of the Fog signs on the M180. You know the ones - they inform you that you're driving in foggy conditions. Well, they would if you could see them because of the fog obscuring them

Re: traffic truth sign

I remember once an article about road signs being hacked and some swear words were displayed.
Must have delighted road users.
