x -files
Ello all - years and years ago i watched xfiles on bbc 1 i liked it and recently purchased 1-9 on dvd having watched up to 8 i must admit im a bit confused
so im looking for an xfiles super fan to help me out -
first season started off about aliens and the records of everyone held in that mountain - then we had the black oil stuff - then some "colony" stuff from the cancer man with bounty hunters and bee's invloved - the black nasty oil keeps coming back along with that nasty russian fella "krycheck" (spelling?) then moulder found an alien but it was covered up - then scully found an alien ship in africa - and then scully got pregnant and now shes gonna have a baby and every 2 seconds they keep showing us alien babies much like the one they had in the first season. all in all im confused - the aliens came down and killed a load of people in front of cancer man as well, is it all sorts of aliens? or the same ones all the time or infact is it the US gov being sneaky - i watched the film there are aliens invloved somewhere
im currentlyt on the last episode of season 8 and scullys off hiding while some "alien"/ super soldier is after them - its billy who was an abducte - and what about that fella that can go round healing everyone - arghh i dunno
basically whats going on is it all linked up or is it different aliens?
*edit*
well season 8 over - mulder n scully have a snog the baby is safe and krycheck is dead (again) still non the wiser

Re: x -files
Is season 9 the one with the "First Person Shooter" Episode?
I enjoyed that one.

Re: x -files
I think simply is that the goverment is teaming up with another race who will desend onto earth in 2012 in exchange for that goverment being protected
There are also musing the black goo and the supper soliders to create a army on earth to help when the 'time' comes

Re: x -files
OK, basically, Laura Palmer was killed by her dad, but it wasn't really her dad - turned out it was Bob - who was some sort of demon, and in the end Cooper got caught in the other place with the dancing midget, while Bob came back....
Oh sorry, I was thinking of that other series that lost it's way halfway through, and ended up making no sense at all....

Re: x -files
It's only worth a glance for David Duchovny as a transvestite FBI agent.

Well, my take on it all was that Chris Carter & co had no real clear idea of what they were doing, & made up a lot of stuff as they went along, rather than planning the whole overall story beforehand.
Consequently, the series is filled with many inconistencies & contradictions, & the whole conspiracy is a mess.
It's ages since I've bothered watching any X-Files episodes, although there was a time when I would have "marathon" sessions of watching whole seasons. So I can't really remember it too clearly now to give a good explanation of it all.
There's a good X-Files book called "X-Treme Possibilities" which has a detailed episode guide (only for 1-5 though unfortunately), & actually tries (& succeeds) to make some sense of the whole "Conspiracy" plotline(s). I think it's out of print, but Amazon have some very cheap "used & new" copies - http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...011836-0654241
(that's the 2nd, revised & updated, edition by the way).
