Re: DVDs & Blu-ray Discs you Lust after ..

Ghost Protocol is the best Mission: Impossible film so far.

The Incredible Hulk is the weakest of the Marvel films, but still pretty enjoyable... and better than the earlier Ang Lee one!

Captain America is cheese... yet extremely enjoyable cheese. I never cared for the character before, and expected to hate the film when I saw it... yet was very pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable it was.

Just watching that now, but it is a thoroughly enjoyable film.

Actually I've enjoyed all the MI films, even the stupid bits (flying a helicopter down the "Channel Tunnel" when the rotors would be wider than the tunnel itself is one bit that springs to mind).

I think the problem with Ang Lee's hulk is that although he is actually a good director, and appeared to enjoy The Hulk, I don't think he entirely understood it.

Hulk 2008 was good though.

Regarding Thor, I really didn't expect Kenneth Branagh to pull it off, but he did a damn good job of sticking to the mystical roots of the story, emphasising how the Norse Gods embedded themselves in our own mythology, while keeping the story accessible for the non-comic book fan. I though Chris Hemsworth did a good job of portraying the boisterous arrogance of the character as well. As he did in Avengers Assemble.

Captain America was another thoroughly enjoyable film. It seemed a little "all American boy fights and defeats the evil foreign superpower" but that is, IMO, in keeping with the comic book, which I actually think was Marvel's attempt at making America feel great.
