Why don't they......?
Why don't they make cars that you can fill the petrol tank from both sides as this would cut down on queues at petrol stations?
Now you see how this thread should go.
What is your particular,Why don't they......?

cos the petrol tank would have to be huge  and involve some complex long pipe.....

The garages that I normally use have pump hoses long enough to reach the filler no matter which side you use.
I have seen people trying to fill up though with the hose stretched to its limit and hardly getting the nozzle in the filler because they have parked too far from the pump.

i think you are on a loser here coggy
anyway , why dont they make a car with a steering wheel that you can swop to the other side so if you drive on the continent you will be ok , ok of course you would have to swap the pedals as well , but i am sure that could be sorted out
